Home sick today

Isaac has been sick. So sick we went to the ER on Sunday, and I stayed home with him on Monday. More on that later, but he is 10,000% better now. This has not stopped him from passing on his infernal germs to his poor mom, who is staying home sick from work today because she can barely talk. In trying to find backups of 3-year-old gel scans from work here at home on illegibly-scrawled CD labels, I came across a CD of pictures from the surprise party my coworkers threw me when I was 8 months preggers with the Isaac-monster. Please indulge me reminiscing about when I was as big as a house:

Sigh. I miss those days, when I was completely forbidden from wearing socks because they made ugly indentions on my vastly swollen ankles, and was given medical permission to wear sandals in the winter. Have I mentioned how much I hate socks?

I think this is as good a time as any to announce that Dada and I are officially trying for Isaac v. 2.0.

Caffeine -- so what? Decaf is better for me anyway. I got decaf lattes all the time when I was incubating Isaac. Beer -- again, so what? We don't drink much anymore, also better for us. What's the deal, Mom? Are you completely satisfied with having only one grandbaby? Perhaps you and I should start over, ala:

Claire: Mike and I are trying to have another baby. We have talked it over endlessly and decided that this is what's best for us.
Mom: Wow! That's great! We are so excited at the prospect of another grandchild!

Or something of that sort.

Claire,

Oh my god that is the cutest picture I have ever seen!!! It makes me want to go and find all of my pregnancy pics. As for you and Mike trying for baby number two, I'm glad it's you and not me!!! Clayton is way too out of control for me to be sick on the couch with morning sickness for three months. Good luck!!!

ROFL at Claire and Grandma Jane. Ahhh, y'all remind me of my mom and I. Good times. Good times.

YEY for Isaac vs 2.0 but GOOD LORD you ARE brave. And your prego pic? Totally rushed back a thousand images of *MY* swollen feet (I also hate shoes AND socks, that's the hippy in me) and being so large and pukey and HOT all the TIME. Oh, yea, but have fun with that again! :-) LOL.
