Five months down
Today is Isaac's 5-month birthday. Who can believe it's been that long since he was born? Not me. And now look at him, almost crawling, grabbing everything in sight, eating carrots. It all goes so (sniff) fast (sob)...
Isaac and I had a great day together. Dad left early this morning after playing a little with his Baby Bot, and then Mom and Bot proceeded to alternate two activities throughout the day: sleeping and playing outside. The highlight of our day was our massive window-shopping adventure at the U-Village. It was a nice day, so Mom couldn't help but to dress up her baby in his super-cute cowboy shirt (see below), which elicited such comments as "He is allll boy, isn't he!" from old ladies. It's funny how we've been trying to label Isaac as "boy" by dressing him almost entirely in blue since he popped out, but this is not always so effective. Most effective garment to denote boy-ness = a shirt that has cowboys on it.
We also bought a sippy-cup at the U-Village to start to train Isaac on, to combine his love of grabbing with his love of eating. We will wait with that until Dad gets back in town, though, so we can get him to help clean up from such an experiment.
