Spew, mountain, spew
Dad took this picture of Mt. St. Helens from Mt. Adams at sunset the last time he was there. He wanted the Isaac-Blog community to know:
Mount Adams, one of the areas where I’ve been working for the last three years, is relatively close to Mount St. Helens. The 1980 eruption [from Mt. St. Helens] dropped three feet of ash on the spot where I took this picture. Thankfully, I finished this field season a week before the rumbling started. Ash wouldn’t have hurt me at this site, but I would have had to walk thirty miles to get off the mountain instead of the 10 miles back to the Jeep (cars can’t run with ash in the air).
