Stupid O'Neal genes
Forgot to mention from his 9-month checkup...the boy has nummular eczema.
Evidently, a propensity for eczema is inherited (thanks, DAD). Isaac has these round, rashy, almost ring-wormy looking items (but not ring worm according to Dr. Kira) on his elbows and knees. Just like Dad! Wow! Why couldn't he get SOME of my genes? Eh?

Benjamin has this too... at least I'm pretty sure that's what it is. I thought it was ringworm too. Our cats occasionally pass that around the house. (i know, ew) But now the spots just look like pinkish dry spots... on his arms, neck, under his neck, shoulders... (they look just like what you circled in the picture) My MIL and BIL both have it, so I'm guessing that's what it is. I'm going to have the ped. check it out in March when we go. For now I'm just using LUbriderm twice a day on it. His cheeks also get red and dry really easily... do Isaac's?
OH! LB has these. I put lotion on them yesterday and she freaked out (I think it stung?) Anyway, my Mom had them, too. So, guess we're in the same boat.
Hey Erin -- Yes, Isaac's cheeks and chin are noTORiously dry. If I don't wash his face & apply lotion every time after he eats, they get kind of scaly and break out in a light rash. When this first happened, we thought he was allergic to cereal, but now we're pretty sure it's just his sensitive skin. Our pediatrician said that this kind of eczema is really common in babies, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's what Ben & LB have, too. Good luck, ladies...keep after 'em with the lotion (and Vaseline or A&D at night time helps even more).
