Picture Day
Today was Picture Day at Isaac's school. I can't even imagine the chaos -- trying to organize nine babies such that, at the same time, i)they are all awake and ii)well-fed enough to not be bawling, iii)they are dressed in the cute outfits their mommies and daddies so dutifully dolled them up in, and iv)that said outfits are not covered in spew or pee and additionally have the accompanying shoes. We really need to bring his teachers flowers sometime.
Getting him ready was very fun, however. Dad IRONED his little weensy button-up Gap shirt that we bought long ago from the consignment store, and also ironed a back-up shirt (the cowboy one) in case of a milky meltdown. I filled out the envelope for the photographer -- these are the same kinds of envelope/form-type things I brought home for my mom and dad to fill out for school pictures in elementary school, where you pick your "picture package" from your one pose and insert your check for the ungodly amount. I was reminiscing today with my coworker about the cheesed-up backgrounds they had for our school pictures, like the neon stripes and the stars. She got stuck with a "nature" background once, she said, with falling leaves and such. I have NO idea how they photographed Isaac, what kind of pose he adopted, or anything. I also have no idea how long it will take to get the pictures back. But when we do, you will hear about it, my blog-faithful. And if you are nice we may even send you a bootleg copy or something.
