Mommy and Daddy watch some movies
Dad and I don't get to spend so much QT together anymore, but somehow, we manages to watch two movies together recently. Saturday night we watched Kill Bill vol. 2 -- I was interested, but my hopes were not high because I thought vol. 1 was, well, okay. Worth a rental, but not much more. But oh my, is vol. 2 ever the hotness -- I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up. It has the most fabulous portion involving this old, no-nonsense kung fu master that I think I could watch again and again. And I am always a sucker for Quentin Tarantino's non-linear story-telling, which is particularly effective in this film.
But the movie I would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone, esPECially the fam back in Indiana, is Super-Size Me, a documentary about a guy who eats McDonald's for every meal of the day for a month to investigate America's obsession with fast foods. It is hilarious and VERY eye-opening. Dad and I succumb to fast-food way too often. I think that will stop after this movie.
